Got a question?

What are Food & Activity Sponsors?

Food & Activity Sponsors play a vital role in helping us make the Good Food Festival a completely free day out for families. By providing food, drinks, desserts, games, entertainment, kids’ activities, prizes, showbag fillers or professional services, your business helps create a fun, generous and welcoming festival experience for the community.

In-kind sponsorships also allow us to direct more of the funds raised towards Lighthouse Care’s ongoing food relief work, helping us continue to provide free and affordable food to families every week. In return, Food & Activity Sponsors may receive event recognition and promotional benefits, helping your business connect with the community while supporting a meaningful cause.

In-kind sponsorships may also provide potential tax benefits for businesses, as they may be treated as a sponsorship, marketing or promotional expense. Where promotional benefits are provided, this is generally considered sponsorship rather than a tax-deductible donation. We recommend speaking with your accountant or tax adviser to understand what may apply to your business.

The Good Food Festival is a free community event hosted by Lighthouse Care to give families a fun, generous and affordable day out, while raising vital funds for ongoing food relief. Designed as a free EKKA alternative for families, the festival brings together food, drinks, market stalls, games, entertainment, kids’ activities and giveaways, creating a day where families can enjoy the fun of a festival without the financial pressure.

Our first Good Food Festival showed what can happen when businesses and community partners come together for a shared purpose. With the generous support of Greenbank Services Club, we were able to give away 600 free $25 Trolleys to families through our trolley drive-through, providing practical food support beyond the festival itself. LSKD HQ also played a major role by allowing us to use their venue and supporting us in securing vendors, helping bring the event to life in a bigger and better way than we could have achieved alone.

The festival is not just about one day of fun. It is about creating a moment of generosity that continues to impact families long after the event is over. Every sponsor, vendor and partner plays a part in helping Lighthouse Care provide free and affordable food to families every week, while creating a memorable community event that families can enjoy together.

Sponsoring the Good Food Festival gives businesses the opportunity to be seen, valued and remembered for making a real difference in the community. Sponsors are not simply putting their logo on an event, they are helping create a free day out for families, while supporting Lighthouse Care’s ongoing food relief work.

Food & Activity Sponsor
If you’re providing a service for free as a donation in-kind, whether that is meals, drinks, desserts, games, entertainment, kids’ activities, prizes or services. you will be recognised at the event as a Food & Activity Sponsor.

Bronze, Silver or Gold Sponsor
You receive event recognition, with increasing levels of visibility depending on their sponsorship level.

All sponsors will receive recognition on the event website, social media, signage, event materials and other promotional opportunities connected to the festival.

Most importantly, sponsors align their business with a trusted local charity and a positive community event that exists to support families. It is a practical way to demonstrate generosity, strengthen community connection, build brand goodwill and show customers, staff and the wider public that your business is committed to making a meaningful local impact.

Sponsors may also wish to speak with their accountant or tax adviser about any potential tax benefits, as sponsorships and in-kind contributions may be treated as a business marketing, promotional or sponsorship expense depending on their circumstances.
