Free trolley initiative
Our free trolley initiative is our way of supporting families who may find themselves in emergency situations. Through our free trolley initiative we are able to provide families with free $25 trolleys to help alleviate the stress of providing food for their families.
How to apply
To apply for food relief please call our office on (07) 3806 0639 to speak with our team.
If eligible, we will provide a $25 trolley at no cost, or if unavailable due to stock and staffing limitations, we may place you on a waiting list.
We do our best to provide free food for all in need, however sometimes this isn’t always possible. If you aren’t eligible for assistance from our ‘free trolley initiative’ you are still welcome to access our $25 trolley and discount grocery stores at Loganholme & Hillcrest.

Disaster Relief
Emergency support in disasters
When natural disasters strike, access to food can disappear overnight. Floods, fires, storms, and other emergencies can leave families without power, transport, or the ability to shop for essentials. Lighthouse Care provides practical, ready-to-deploy food relief to support communities during these times. Our disaster response focuses on getting food to families quickly, safely, and with minimal complexity, when people are already dealing with enough. We work alongside local organisations, charities, churches, and emergency response partners to supply food hampers and grocery support where it’s needed most. These partnerships allow us to respond efficiently and scale support during high-demand periods. Because we are self-funded, our disaster relief capacity depends on available resources and stock at the time of an event. When possible, we prioritise families who have been directly impacted and have limited access to food. If your organisation is responding to a disaster or supporting affected families, please contact our team to discuss bulk food relief options and current availability.
